County Junior League Final - August 9th 2013 in Dingle 7pm
Final Score - Lispole Bs 0-09, Castlegregory Bs 2-7.
Castle emerged victorious in a hard fought and keenly contested junior final against Lispole in Dingle on Aug 9th. Castle started the brighter team and led by 3 points after 15 minutes. Lispole settled after this and started to win a lot more possession around the middle of the park but the decisive moment in the 1st half came when Kealan Dowling pounced on the edge of the small square to score an opportunistic goal. Castle added a further point before half time to leave the score at half time Castle 1-4 Lispole 0-3.
The second half was a much tighter affair with Lispole levelling the game with 6 minutes to go. However the turning point came with 3 minutes left on the clock when Liam Maunsell found the top corner of the net with a pile driver of a shot.Castle added a further point to emerge winners on a final score line of Castle 2-7 Lispole 0-9 Afterwards captain Tomas Lynch accepted the trophy and thanked the management of Conor Lyons and Patrick O Donnell and players for their commitment throughout the year. He also thanked the clubs main sponsor Lynchs Spar, and the Lispole team for a hard fought game. Finally he dedicated the win to the memory of the late Vincent Wyles.

County League -Div 4 - June 30th 2013 in Castlegregory 2pm
Final Score - Ballylongford 0-08, Castlegregory 5-15.
Castle ran out easy winners over the travelling north Kerry side on Sunday afternoon.In the early encounters Castle won a lot of possession but did not make good use of it and turned over an amount of ball. Alan Fitzgerald and Timmy Noonan exchanged points in the first few minutes .Joe Scully set up JB Spillane for Castle's first goal of the game.William Madden pointed for Moyvane and Timmy Noonan added another . Alan Fitzgerald pointed again in the 10th min and Aiden Kean responded for Moyvane . Castle increased their lead with points each from Liam Maunsell and Shane Hennessy and two from Alan Fitzgerald, John Jack Mulvihill registered Moyvane's last score of the half. Half time score Castle 1-07, Moyvane 0-05.
Castle went on to dominate the second half, Shane Hennessy and Joe Scully controlled midfield and JB Spillane was very strong on the attack. Alan Fitzgerald kicked a goal and three more points before going off mid way through the half. Shane Hennessy found the net twice when he tore through the Moyvane defence. Kealan Dowling, Alan Lynch, and Killian Burns all added their names to the score list and Kenneth Clifford finished their fifth goal. Moyvane only registered three more points, two from John Jack Mulvihill and one from Timmy Noonan they were awarded a late penalty which rebounded off the post. The home side will be happy with the two points while Moyvane continue to struggle at the lower end of the table

Final Score - Ballylongford 1-09, Castlegregory 2-11.
Castle made the long trip to Ballylongford on Saturday evening where they claimed their fourth win of the league campaign. They are now in joint second with Brosna in the league table.
Junior County League - May 17th 2013 in Castlegregory 7:30pm
Final Score - Lispole 1-09, Castlegregory Bs 4-11.
Castle made it two out of two with a win over Lispole on Friday evening. Players who impressed for the homeside were Padrig Rohan, Maurice James Fitzerald, Tomás Lynch and Michael Mullally.
U14 County League Final Replay - May 17th 2013 in Churchill 7pm
Final Score - Knock/Brosna 2-10, Castlegregory 3-16.
Castle u14s gave a fantastic display of footballing skills when they defeated Knock/Brosna in the League final Replay on Friday evening in Churchill. Knock/ Brosna were a physically strong team and got off to a great start with two early goals. The Castle Boys did not panic and chipped away at the early lead, Michael Scanlon got Castle off with a goal and point , which was quickly followed by two points from William Goodwin, Knock/Brosna only registered two more points in the half while Castle increased their lead with points from Mark Fitzerald , Jimmy O Grady, Lee Courtney and Michael Scanlon , William Goodwin and Mickey Lyne. Half time score Castle 1-11, Knock/Brosna 2-03.
Knock/Brosna dominated play for a period of the second half and narrowed the gap to five points, the Castle defence with Brendan Walsh, Brian Dowling, David Sheehan, Vincent Hussey and Nathan Griffin made it difficult for them to get through and when they did Castle Keeper Niall Moynihan saved on two occasions when they shot for Goal. Castle upped their performance again and when Michael Scanlon's shot rebounded Mickey Lyne was in to finish to the net. Patrick O Donoghue was winning a lot of ball and when the Castle forwards were fouled Jimmy O Grady was on target with the resulting frees. William Goodwin got the last point of the game for Castle and Lee Courtney closed out the game with a well earned goal. From a spectators perspective what was most pleasing was the way the team played for each other as a unit, and also the quality of point kicking was top class.The furture of Castle is bright with so many talented young players. Well done to team mentors , Seamus O Grady, Adrian O Connor and Sean Cronin for the work they have done with this team. A very worthy Captain Michael Scanlon accepted the shield from county board secretary Tagdh O Hallorohan.

County League -Div 4 - Mar 23rd 2013 in Castlegregory 4pm
Final Score - Churchill 0-10, Castlegregory 0-15.
This game was played in Castlegregory due to Churchill pitch failing a pitch inspection on Saturday morning. Churchill played with the wind in the first half but it took a while for them to get their kicking on target, Ivan Parker kicked their first point from a free, Anto Kelliher converted for Castle after he had been fouled. Churchill added three more , two from Benny Dylan frees, and one from Fiacra Griffin , Colm O Connor kicked 2 points from play for Castle, Churchill added four more before halftime, two from Daniel Doyle, and one each from Cieran Crowley and Chris Hurley to make it 8pts to 3pts.
Castle opened the second half with three fantastic points from Alan Fitzgerald, Churchill had two goal chances saved by Adam O Donnell, they also lost Midfield player Mickey Brennan to injury. Alan Fitzgerald pointed from a free and Shane Hennessy levelled from play.Benny Dylan put Churchill ahead again, but the home side finished strong with JB Spillane adding his name to the score list, but it was Alan Fitzgerald who gave a match winning display increasing his point scoring tally to ten before the final whistle.
West Kerry League Semi-Final - Mar 10th 2013 in Annascaul 3pm
Final Score - An Ghaeltacht 0-9, Castlegregory 0-6.
This game was moved to Lispole when the Annascaul pitch was deemed unplayable after the earlier game between Dingle V Lispole. Weather conditions were severe and it was Castle who had the wind advantage in the first half. After early missed chances by both teams it was Colm O Mahoney who registered the first score , Castle added four more , two from Alan Fitzgerald, and points each from Maurice James Fitzgerald and Micheal O Shea , An Ghaeltacht found it difficult to score points against the wind, and when goal chances were presented Castle keeper Adam O'Donnell pulled off some fantastic saves. Their only point of the half came from a Sean M O'Connor free. Half time score Castle 0-05, An Ghaeltacht 0-01 .
The second half was a complete reversal of the first, Castle suffered from the earlier loss of Shane Hennessy to injury. An Ghaeltacht kicked five unanswered points before Anto Kelliher levelled scores again from a free. Alan McNamara had his shot for goal saved by Tomás Mc an tSaor. An Ghaeltacht finished strong kicking three more points before the final whistle. Notable performances from two young Castle players were goalkeeper Adam O'Donnell, and Maurice James Fitzgerald who worked tirelessly throughout the game. Castle now look forward to their first County league game away to Churchill later this month.
Paudi O'Shea Tournament - Feb 23rd 2013 in Castlegregory 12:30am & 3pm
Final Score - Knockbride 3-05, Castlegregory 3-12.
Castle over came Knockbride of Cavan in the Intermediate Quarter Final at 12 on Saturday. Castle were 2-08 to 1-01 up at half time with goals from Alan Fitzerald and Anto Kelliher, points from Alan Fitzerald ,Colm O Mahoney, Maurice James Fitzerald , two each from Anto Kelliher and Colm O Connor. Knockbride staged a comeback in the second half but Castle finished strong with Alan Fitzerald hitting the net from a well taken penalty.Final score Castle 3-12 Knockbride 3-05.
The semi final was also played in Castle between the home team and near neighbours St. Pats of Blennerville. St pats started well with two early points but Castle got to grips and and put on an outstanding display totally dominating the rest of the half, Anto Kelliher and Alan Fitzgerald kicked some fantastic points, then in the twenty fifth minute Micheal ó Shea who was dominating mid field , was fouled, Shane Hennessy took a quick free to Alan Fitzgerald who put Anto Kelliher through for the opening goal of the game. Half time Castle 1-07 St. Pats 0-03.
St. Pats came out a different team after the break and kicked two points followed quickly by a goal from Kieran Hurley, they kicked three more before Anto Kelliher levelled with Castles first point of the half. Alan Fitzgerald put Castle ahead again with a pointed free. The game could have gone either way at this stage but when Castle lost two players for second yellow card offences the momentum swung back to St. Pats who went two points ahead before the final whistle. Castle 1-10, St. Pats 1-12.
West Kerry League - Feb 9th 2013 in Annascaul 3:30pm
Final Score - Annascaul 0-12, Castlegregory 0-12.
This was a closely contested game played in Annascaul on Saturday evening. The home side got off to the better start with two early points before Alan Fitzgerald opened from a free. Wing back Gearoid Fitzerald surged forward and finished with a well taken point from play, followed by a point from Colm Sills. Annascaul added two more, before points from Shane Hennesey and Anto Kelliher. Castle went ahead with a free from Anto Kelliher, but Gene Farrell closed the gap again before Alan Fitzgerald gave Castle a one point advantage going in at half time. Castle increased their lead after play resumed with points from Alan Fitzgerald and Anto kelliher, Annascaul got their first of the half, before Colm O Mahoney added a point from play to put Castle three ahead.
Joe Scully and Colm Sills were winning a lot of ball and making life difficult for the opposition but the home side were not content to give up and continued to attack , Gene Farrell kicked four points from frees and Emmett Kennedy, who was introduced in the second half put Annascaul two points ahead as the game entered its final stages. The momentum swung to Castle once more and Colm O Mahoney narrowed the lead to one point. Castle launched a final attack and when Colm O Mahoney was fouled it was Alan Fitzgerald who converted the resulting free to draw the game. Overall a very entertaining game .

Final Score - Dingle 1-06, Castlegregory 1-09.
Castle recorded a good win over Dingle away from home in round 2 of the WK League. In a low scoring first half Castle struggled to find their rhythm but a pointed free from Anton Kelliher after 12 minutes set them on their way. Kelliher added a second point from play after 15 minutes before Dingle got on the scoreboard on 19.Two well worked and well taken points from Shane Hennessy and Anton Kelliher stretched Castle’s lead to three before Dingle got the last score of the half to leave it 0-04 0-02 at the interval. After a bright start by Dingle, which saw them knock over 2 points in the first 5 minutes, Castle took control and a pointed free by Alan Fitzgerald and a fine point by J B Spillane put them 2 points up once again. After Castle hit the crossbar twice and following a couple of fine saves by their goalie Dingle pointed a free to keep themselves well in the game. An Anton Kelliher free in the 24th minute pushed the lead back out to two but with 3 minutes left on the clock a fortuitous goal gave Dingle the lead for the first time. However, Castle showed great resilience and heart and within a minute had the ball in the Dingle net, through Anton Kelliher, to restore their lead. With 29 minutes gone Dingle reduced the lead to one, but once again Anton Kelliher with a well taken point stretched it to two. A brilliant save by Castle goalkeeper Adam O’Donnell maintained Castle’s lead and an injury time point by Alan Fitzgegrald saw Castle safely home. Overall a good performance by Castle, particularly in the second half when they showed much more drive and commitment. All six backs once again played well, particularly young Padraig Rohan who had another fine game at cornerback. Up front J B Spillane and Anton Kelliher - with a final tally of 1-05, showed best.

Castle were defeated by the home side in Gallarus on Saturday evening. Although Castle played with the strong wind in the first half their first score did not come until mid way when Anto Kelliher pointed from a free. Mícheál Ó Sé added a goal and a point to make it 1-02 to 0-02 in favour of Castle at half time. After play resumed An Ghaeltacht kicked four unanswered points before an Anto Kelliher point, which was to be the visitors only score of the second half. An Ghaeltaht added four more points. Castle had a few goal chances before the full time whistle but unfortunalely none hit the target. The final score was An Ghaeltacht 0-10 Castle 1-03.
